Cesar Lucero, VTI Life Science’s New Lead Automation Engineer

cesar luceroCesar Lucero resides in Tijuana (Mexico) and roams through VTI’s clients in the San Diego area. Also, he can be seen traveling to several parts of the US and even South Korea and Puerto Rico, taking care of sterilization and automation projects. Cesar graduated from the Technological University of Tijuana with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering focused on automation and is a master’s candidate for the Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence program at the University of San Diego. His expertise encompasses full-on automation assembly lines and semi-automated equipment, focusing on different types of welders, leak testers, functional testing machines, automated vision inspection systems, PLC architecture, industrial robots, autoclave steam and EtO sterilization, GMP washer machines, Bioreactors, and automation design for medical device manufacturing. He has a history of successful leadership and execution of commissioning and validation projects, helping clients reach a validated production stage.

He likes to practice sports such as snowboarding, tennis, kickboxing, and HEMA fencing. He once took acting and singing lessons, only to find out he’s a really good engineer. He’s a cat person and a rock music lover who enjoys camping, philosophy, and a good poker night with friends.
